Choir
Music plays an important part in worship at Trinity and we are fortunate to have a recently refurbished organ and talented Director of Music.
The four part choir usually sings an anthem at the morning service from a wide repertoire ranging from the 16th- 21st century and is sometimes asked to sing at weddings.
Since Easter Day 2014 we have used Singing the Faith as our hymn book.
Trinity Choir is sometimes joined by friends from Churches Uniting in Central Sutton and further afield to form Trinity Festival Choir which, in recent years, joined by professional soloists, has sung Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Stainer’s Crucifixion, Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. The picture below shows the Trinity Festival Choir preparing for the Remembrance Sunday evening performance of Fauré's Requiem on 9 November 2014.
The choir makes regular visits to Ryelands MHA Care Home in Wallington.
Our regular choir practices are held on Thursday 8.00-9.30pm and Sunday at 10.00am before the morning service.
If you are interested in joining the choir, you would be most welcome to join us on a Thursday evening at 8pm and try us out. You don’t necessarily need to be able to read music, although it would be helpful if you have had some previous choral experience as we mainly sing traditional 4-part choral music.
